Eva Mendes has revealed that she likes to stay away from the ‘size zero’ bug and eats whatever she wants, whenever she wants.

The 34-year-old actress, whose semi-clad appearance in an ad for Calvin Klein’s perfume was deemed too sexy to be shown on U.S. TV, said that she was not daunted by the amount of calories she takes.

“I’m like every other girl across the globe – I love chocolate and I hate working out. I like to eat. I cannot hold back. I cannot skip a meal,” the Daily Express quoted her as telling the Grazia magazine.

“There’s also that little rebel inside of me saying that nobody’s going to tell me how much I need to weigh or what I need to look like to fit in.

“I’m very defiant – I want it on my terms,” she added.

Hollywood actress EVA MENDES faced disapproval from her mother after posing for a provocative photoshoot for a fashion magazine.

The Hitch star stripped off for a series of raunchy pictures for Italian Vogue earlier this year (08).
But the shots - which showed Mendes topless and in a variety of sexy poses - were not popular with the star’s mother, who voiced her concerns to her daughter.

Mendes says, “I was lucky enough to do the cover of Italian Vogue, that’s a big deal for me. And they were very edgy photos. My mother did not like them and then she made me realise something.

“My mother, who is very Cuban and very old-school, said, ‘They are beautiful but you don’t have to do that.’

“And I said, ‘Mummy, I know I don’t have to do that. I want to because it’s the people I associate myself with (such as photographer) Steven Meisel and Italian Vogue.’ If it was any other publication I would never do (these pictures). So she really made me think, there’s people out there thinking you have to do things and I never feel I have to do things.”

Mendes previously stripped off for a Calvin Klein fragrance advert, which was deemed too raunchy for American TV.

EVA Mendes “loves” being considered a sex object.

The actress caused controversy earlier this year when her saucy ad campaign for Calvin Klein’s Secret Obsession was banned in the US.

But Mendes insists she’s proud of her body — and enjoys being called sexy.

She says, “I love it, but it’s not important to me to always be thought of as sexy. I like it when it doesn’t limit my career. It’s a part of my life, but on a secondary plane.”

Eva says the secret to her sexy shape is diet and exercise: “I try not to go crazy, but yes, I pay attention to what I eat,” she explains. “I try to stay away from pasta, bread, cakes, sweets, cookies and ice cream.”

Actress Eva Mendes has slammed Americans for glorifying violence while remaining prudish about nudity on-screen.

The star was at the center of controversy in August, when an ad she filmed for Calvin Klein was deemed too sexy for U.S. TV and banned by several of the major networks.

Mendes has since insisted that she is proud of the promo, which saw her writhing semi-naked on a bed.

And now the star has hit out at American censors for allowing gory shows to appear on TV, yet being too heavy-handed when it comes to naked scenes.

She tells People.com, “I love my country, but I believe that we are too quick to censor nudity. We seem okay with violence, but nudity we race to criticize and censor. I’m not at all ashamed or frightened about showing my body.”

A representative for Hollywood star Eva Mendes has denied reports that quoted the actress as saying she had sex “in all 50 states” of America.

In widely reported comments, Mendes supposedly discussed taking the raunchy road trip with a boyfriend when she was younger.

“I’ve had sex in all 50 states,” she was quoted as saying. “A lot of it was on a road trip I took when I was younger.”

But a representative for Mendes said it was a “complete fabrication” and “entirely untrue”.

“In fact, Ms Mendes wasn’t even present at the event at which these comments were supposedly made.

“The entire thing is absurd and offensive.”
